Boy, is it me, or does the prices on Remingtons tactical rifles seem to go up every quarter? I remember updating prices in January and now I had to update them again (up about another $20) this quarter. I am not sure why the pricing keeps crawling up, perhaps the price of metals continues to rise?

The 6.5×284 Norma is an excellent long range caliber and does quite well in 1000 yard competition and also makes a great tactical load. Some of the problems that cause the cartridge not to be widely adopted is the cost of the brass and consequently the lack of factory loaded ammunition. For a while Black Hills was loading some of their excellent match ammo in 6.5×284, but production stopped a few years ago. Now there is another alternative, Hunting Shack Munitions (HSM) has a factory loading shooting the 142gr Sierra Matchking at 2840 fps and they also use the excellent Norma brass.

We have some of the ammunition on hand for those of you wishing to try it out. The prices are not bad, even using the expensive Norma brass.
